In Smoldering Ember, Ms. Romas gives us a strong, curvaceous real life heroine, Cassandra, who has been hit with a heavy blow.  However she’s come through it even stronger than she was before, with the help of a dear friend, Kat.  Now she has a major decision to make about her ex-husband Ethan and the new love in her life, Noah.  A lot of unanswered questions are revealed and she’ll let the fire that’s been raging inside her finally come unleashed.

A very satisfying ending.  I was able to immediately connect with the heroine and understand her pain, as well as the decisions that she made.  Great quick read.

Ms. Ramos, gives us a tale about Cassandra’s best friend, Kat, in Touch of Fire, a fiery red-head who’s decided to take her life back.  She’ll have even more healing to do than she thought, but in the end it was all worth it.

Two fabulous short reads that give us the kick-butt sexy heroines, a little heartache, and some mystery, readers will enjoy taking part in.

Ericka Scott has written a sinfully sexy, delightful tale, that at times had me laughing and other times, well… it was hot!   I traveled with her characters along an emotionally pulling erotic tale.

Plaything is a blazingly erotic short story that will definitely keep you turning pages. However, the connection between Chris’ deprived sexual nature and his upbringing was quickly lost after the first few pages. This made it difficult to really relate to Chris and the lifestyle he’d chosen for himself. Desiree’s character was a complete mystery. There was no rhyme or reason for her appearance or disappearance from Chris’ life. But as one night stands go, Sara Winters has penned a winner.

Journey to the Pearl is a part of the Exotica series at Ellora's Cave focusing on women's sexual relationships and adventures. Journey of the Pearl brings us Miranda Fox, a rich

woman with too much time on her hands. Her one quest is to find the perfect pearl and in turn the perfect lover. Her adventures take her across the country and half way around the world. She meets gorgeous men who provide her with titillating sexual escapades. She may find the pearl she's been searching for is closer than she thinks.
Desiree Holt has several titles with Ellora's Cave and this one is a great addition to her work. Readers searching for new titles to add to their libraries will want to get this one. Ms. Holt is able to bring characters together with many hot, steamy sex scenes. Her endings will leave you satisfied and breathless. All of this in a quickie that can be read in one afternoon.

 

Tori works for a local t.v. station as a nightly news anchor. When she starts receiving hate mail, her boss decides to hire Casey as her bodyguard. Tori meets Casey and the first thought to enter her head is that he is her guardian angel. An attraction develops between them immediately and sizzles into a heated affair. Although Casey finds the pull of Tori's attraction almost too much to resist, he feels he can't protect her if he's too emotionally involved. Tori understands what he is trying to do, but she isn't too happy with his decision.

Review:
Ok I know this was a romantic suspense, but couldn’t there have been just a little more twist and turns. I don't want to give anything away so I won't get into it. Although I have to say one part of the ending did have me saying, "I didn't see that coming." The romantic element was wonderful with the build up between Tori and Casey, and the pacing was right on. In my opinion there were a few scenes the book could have done without, for example the side trip to Casey's sister's. It showed you a little bit of Casey, but didn't seem prudent to the story line. Over all this was a good book and I give it 4 Delightful Divas.
